RMIT Footwear exhibition

A great night was had by all over the two days of the exhibition. I was able to meet some great people from the fashion industry and see some incredible work. I was very impressed with the textile students and some of the unique concepts they had chosen and successfully explored. The footwear students did an outstanding job and received a lot of positive feedback from industry professionals. Well done guys, what a way to end such a fantastic year. Special thanks must go out to our wonderful teacher Andrew Robinson; none of this would have been possible with out his fantastic support, guidance and patience. I’m sure everyone would agree that we were very lucky to have him as our teacher.

shoe making - Madi's ankle boot (prototypes)

I’m making a pair of ankle boots for a “client”. Some people think they look like witch shoes others say they are very pixie like. One shoe will be green with brown and purple contrast panels and the other shoe will be brown with green and purple contrast panels.

I have finally finished all the prototypes and am about to start work on the final shoe. The heel is currently being made for me and I’m hoping to pick it up next week.
